About WatchRuneterra

WatchRuneterra is an independent League of Legends analytics platform. The site indexes match history from the public Riot Games API and produces performance analytics, champion mastery breakdowns, and progression insights for any summoner whose Riot ID is searched.

What the site does

When you search a Riot ID, WatchRuneterra calls the Riot Match-v5 and Summoner-v4 APIs, persists the relevant match records, and renders a set of analytics views: match history with timeline, champion-by-champion performance, role benchmarks against tier peers, and progressive insights that surface strengths and weaknesses from the most recent games.

Game asset versioning is automated. The catalog auto-syncs to the current Riot patch (currently 16.7.1) so champion images, ability descriptions, and item data stay in sync with the live client without manual intervention.

Who runs the site

WatchRuneterra is built and operated by Alex Diaz under SnowForge LLC, a small independent software studio. SnowForge LLC develops a handful of e-commerce, sports, and gaming analytics products. You can find the broader portfolio at snowforge.dev.

How analytics are computed

Match data is fetched on demand via the Riot Games Developer API using the standard rate limits and caching tiers permitted by the API terms. Aggregated benchmarks (such as average gold-per-minute for a champion at a given tier) are computed across the indexed population of public matches and refreshed periodically. Individual match views are computed from the raw timeline returned by the Match-v5 endpoint without modification.

The site does not run win-prediction models, match-fixing detection, or any system that produces outputs unrelated to the public match record. It is a presentation layer over Riot’s public data.

Advertising

WatchRuneterra runs ads on certain content pages via Google AdSense. Ads help fund the Riot API rate-limit tier, the database hosting, and the asset storage required to keep the site free for casual users. Site behavior, navigation, and analytics are identical for users with and without ad blockers; the ad network does not gate access to any feature.
